When someone completes one of your public forms, it is captured as a lead straight away. Nothing a prospective client sends sits waiting to be transcribed.
How it works
Share a Custom Form's public link on your website or in an email. Each time it is submitted, a lead is created for you. The person's name, email, and phone number are detected from their answers, the full submission is kept in the lead's description, and any files they uploaded are copied onto the lead. You will find the new lead in the Leads list.
What still applies
If a form is deliberately connected to another area, that connection is respected: a form wired to Tickets still opens a ticket, and one wired to Customers still creates a customer. Forms that are not connected to anything, which is most intake forms, now create a lead instead of only storing a response.
The full submission is also saved on the form's Submissions page, so you can see exactly what the client entered, field by field, alongside the lead it created.
What to do next
- Open the lead. Review the detected details and the attached files.
- Follow up. Send a short message to ask for anything the form did not cover.
- Start the matter. When you are ready, use the lead's Start matter tab to create the matter. The next article explains how.
