If your documents already live in Google Drive, OneDrive or Dropbox, there's no need to download them just to upload them again. Connect your account once, then pick files straight from your cloud storage.
Connect your account
- Open Setup, then Connected Storage. Each provider row shows its current state, such as Connected, Not connected, or Needs reconnect.
- Click Connect. Sign in when the provider asks. Once you're back, the row shows Connected along with your account email.
- You're done. This is a one time step per provider. If a row ever says Needs reconnect, just click Connect again.
Connections are personal. You link your own accounts, and the pickers you see draw on your own storage, not anyone else's.
Pick files instead of uploading
On pages that support it, you'll see buttons like Add from Google Drive, Add from OneDrive or Add from Dropbox next to the upload area. You only see buttons for providers you've connected.
Click one, choose your files in the provider's own picker, and they appear in a small list under the button. When you save, each file is fetched in the background and stored exactly like a normal upload: it lands in the files area of the matter or client record you're working in, listed under your name like anything else you upload. There's nothing different about the result, so previews, downloads and sharing all behave the way they always do.
Picked files are copies. The original stays in your cloud storage, and the imported copy won't change if the original is edited later.
The same file type and size rules apply as for regular uploads. If something can't be imported, the message names the exact file so you know which one to fix.
Disconnecting
Back on the Connected Storage page, click Disconnect next to a provider to unlink your account. Files you already imported stay where they are.
