Trust Wallet holds client trust funds. Every dollar that moves in or out is a recorded transaction, and the balance can never go below zero.
What it tracks
Each person gets their own wallet showing the current trust balance and a full transaction history: what came in, what went out, when, and why. Money only moves through recorded transactions, deposits are tagged as funding, invoice payments as payments, and if a payment is ever removed, a matching reversal is recorded so the ledger always tells the whole story. Clients see their wallet in the portal under Trust Wallet; staff see the same wallet on the client's profile, plus an Overview of all wallets and Trust reports.
Adding funds
- Choose Fund and enter an amount. The firm may set a minimum and maximum per deposit.
- Pay the invoice. An invoice is created for the amount and you're taken straight to it to pay through the usual payment options.
- The balance updates. As soon as the payment is recorded, the wallet is credited. A partial payment credits exactly what was paid.
Paying invoices from the balance
When the firm enables it, the trust balance appears as a payment option at invoice checkout while you're signed in. The firm can also switch on automatic payment of overdue invoices from the balance, so nothing slips past its due date while funds are available. You can save a card too, for faster payments and optional automatic charging.
Withdrawing
A withdrawal starts as a request: enter the amount, a note, and how you'd like to receive the money. The firm is notified, reviews the request, and updates its status. Nothing leaves the balance until it's approved.
The wallet refuses any payment larger than the current balance and blocks duplicate transactions, so the ledger stays clean even if a payment page is submitted twice.
